What you will be doing:
As a Food and Beverage Shift Leader, you hold a position of responsibility and play a key role within the company. Do you have an exceptional service-oriented and guest-focused attitude that allows you to exceed visitors’ expectations and, together with your team, ensure a consistently high-quality overall visitor experience? And does the idea of being responsible for providing service and coaching and managing the staff on the hospitality floor appeal to you? Then you are the perfect fit we are looking for at CORPUS “journey through the human body” and CORPUS Congress Centre.
What does the position entail?
- As a shift leader, you’re actively present on the shop floor and serve as its eyes and ears; you’re the point of contact for colleagues, suppliers, and other parties. You’re able to adapt quickly to changing situations.
- You anticipate potential issues and plan accordingly. When these issues arise on the job, you know how to resolve them effectively and courteously.
- You follow CORPUS’s established procedures and are able to communicate this to your colleagues.
- You are responsible for tracking and monitoring inventory, orders, and restocks.
- You’ll take a proactive approach and drive sales and upselling.
- You will facilitate (set up, run, and clean up) internal meetings.
- Check and process administrative tasks such as work lists, cleaning lists, spill logs, and temperature logs.
What do we expect from you?
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of relevant work experience.
- Someone who is professional, proactive, and decisive, and has excellent people skills.
- Strong communication skills, fluency in Dutch, and at least a working knowledge of English.
- A meticulous and hospitable work ethic with an eye for detail.
We offer:
- Enjoy working in a great team where everyone supports one another, in an inspiring location.
- You will work collaboratively with other departments across different functions.
- You work in the hospitality industry but aren't limited to evening shifts; for the most part, you'll be on the floor starting in the morning on weekdays as well as on weekends.
Working in a special location
CORPUS “Journey Through the Human Body” is located inside the 35-meter-tall giant along the A44 in Oegstgeest. Together, these two venues create a unique and challenging workplace for our culinary team.
