Continuing Education
How does your body function day and night? What happens during reproduction? And how can you take good care of yourself? At CORPUS, biology comes to life. Your students will connect their knowledge of organs and reproduction to their own bodies, choices, and health.
During this 55-minute “journey,” your students will explore the human body from the inside out. They’ll discover the organs, senses, and systems that work together to enable movement, breathing, sensation, development, and reproduction. This helps them understand how the body functions as a whole.
Students learn to recognize the structure and function of the human body, make connections to their own health, and apply what they learn to real-life situations. This creates a natural link between biological knowledge and awareness. As a result, CORPUS aligns with Core Objectives 29 and 34 for secondary education, as established by SLO.

Disjointed concepts become a single entity
In the early years of HAVO and VWO, students learn to examine their own bodies with increasing focus. They discover how organs function, how nutrients and oxygen travel through the body, and how the senses, brain, and muscles interact. Growth, reproduction, and development also become key topics at this stage. At CORPUS, these separate topics are brought together. Not as a list of terms, but as a single body that is in motion day and night.
Exam material is taking shape
During the “journey,” your exam candidates will see how the human body works from the inside out. They’ll learn how organs and systems work together, how signals are transmitted, and how topics such as nutrition, reproduction, and health are interconnected. Biological concepts from the VMBO exam curriculum don’t just stay on paper, but are linked to what students see and experience during the “journey.” This is how CORPUS makes final exam material tangible for VMBO students.
