Themed lessons

How does your heart pump blood through your body day and night? Why do some people like cilantro while others don’t? And what does your DNA actually tell us about you? With CORPUS’s themed lessons, students step into the world of the human body even before their visit.

During the 55-minute “journey” through the human body, students explore muscles, bones, and the senses. They learn about the circulatory system, respiration, and reproduction—topics that are also covered in class.

With CORPUS’s themed lessons, students delve deeper into a specific part of the body either before or after class. Through educational videos and hands-on activities, they discover step by step how their bodies work and immediately apply their new knowledge in the classroom. This creates a natural connection between the curriculum, experience, and a sense of wonder.

Here's how a themed lesson is structured

Each themed lesson takes a step-by-step look at one part of the human body. Students explore the function, structure, operation, and possible abnormalities of an organ or body part. They then apply this knowledge to their own bodies: what does this mean for them? The five units are presented through active learning activities that include assignments, educational videos, and materials you can use right away in the classroom.

With each themed lesson, you'll receive:
