CORPUS Kids Academy – the world of DNA

There is a code hidden in every cell of your body.

On July 4, DNA experts from LUMC will be visiting CORPUS. Not to give a talk, but to get you to work. You’ll isolate your own DNA. You’ll piece together an organ. You’ll build your family tree.

What is DNA?
Scientists at LUMC are asking you the questions. Write your own DNA story and discover what’s stored in every cell of your body.

From DNA to Organ
You put the puzzle together. And as you do, you see how an organ develops from something you can’t even see.

Isolate your DNA
You’ll soon see it with your own eyes: your own DNA. Scientists do this every day. Today, you’ll do it.

's Genetic Traits Who you could have been depends on a roll of the dice. Roll the dice and see which traits from your father and mother end up in your character.

Karyogram Boy or girl—it’s all in the chromosomes. Play memory, arrange them in order, and give the answer.

Family Tree Traits are passed down from generation to generation. How far back can you trace your family history?
