Unique location

CORPUS 'journey through man' is located in the 35-meter giant along the A44 motorway in Oegstgeest, near Leiden. Here every day hundreds of visitors, young and old, discover the wonders of the human body during the spectacular 'journey through man'. There is also a large, multifunctional and impressive congress center, where all kinds of events and congresses take place. The two together form a special and challenging workplace.

Working at CORPUS is mainly about working together, with your immediate colleagues from operations and congress, but also with colleagues from other departments, such as marketing & sales, the hospitality department and the technical department. You are also the lynchpin in the contact with the many on-call employees who work at CORPUS, a pool of (often still studying), enthusiastic young people, who together ensure a unique vibe. We help each other where necessary and are willing to go the extra mile for each other. Together we work hard to make the outing of our visitors to the "journey through man" and the experience of the business visitors to the convention center complete.

What you will do

As Floor Manager, you are the business card of CORPUS and (jointly) responsible for the smooth running of all activities on the floor. You are committed to the total experience of our visitors! Depending on your shift, you will ensure that the start of the "journey through man" runs smoothly or you will be the one who closes the building at the end of the day. Tasks include, for example, making up the cash registers, supervising the set-up and take-down of an event in the convention center, but also coordinating the operational team during the day. Above all you are a host/hostess, overseeing all operational processes and jumping in where necessary. Last but not least, you ensure, in consultation with the Manager Operations, that your (on-call) employees are well employed and satisfied.

Your challenge is to work with your team by ensuring the optimal guest experience with the best service and in the most efficient way possible. Your day is only complete when visitors and clients leave the premises with a big smile.

What we ask

• You are customer-oriented; the visitor and/or client are always number one with you;
• Preferably you have relevant work experience, but you can also join us as an up-and-coming talent;
• MBO+ working and thinking level;
• You possess leadership qualities, are stress resistant and have communication skills;
• Working weekends and evenings in alternating shifts is not a problem for you;
• Good oral command of the Dutch and English languages;
• Flexible, accurate with an eye for detail;
• People manager who gets wings from working in a team.
