What's going on?

On June 24 and 25, the Netherlands will host the NATO Summit in The Hague. To enable the safe movement of world leaders between Schiphol Airport and The Hague, extensive road closures and security measures are being taken in the region.

The measures are in effect from Sunday afternoon, June 22, through Friday morning, June 27, with the heaviest traffic on:

• Monday afternoon and evening, June 23
• Tuesday morning, June 24
• Wednesday afternoon and evening June 25

CORPUS is located in an area directly affected by the measures.

Major closures and traffic disruptions:

• A5: completely closed in both directions between Raasdorp junction (A9) and De Hoek junction (A4) from Sunday afternoon, June 22 to Friday morning, June 27
• A4: between junction De Hoek and junction Burgerveen towards The Hague, 2 lanes are closed, demarcated with blockades
• A44: direction The Hague closed between Burgerveen junction and Wassenaar from Sunday evening until Friday morning
• N44: closed in both directions between The Hague and Rozenweg in Wassenaar
• A44/N44 towards Amsterdam: closed on Wednesday afternoon and evening, June 25
• N440: (including Hubertus Tunnel towards World Forum) closed in both directions from Sunday afternoon to Friday morning
• N434 (Corbulotracé): closed on Wednesday afternoon and evening, June 25

In addition, many regional and local roads in Leiden, Wassenaar, Katwijk, Noordwijk, Haarlemmermeer and the Bulb Region, among others, are also poorly served.

A tripling of normal traffic volumes is expected to more than 450 kilometers around the periphery.
